  • Where is Dissolve Into based?
We are in Gasworks, near Oval station in South London. See our Contact page for more information. The studio we work in, as well as the building and its entrance, are wheelchair accessible.
  • Are there restrictions as to what I can write about?
Work submitted for application and/or used in development can be about any subject. But we do reserve the right to reject work deemed as hate speech. All work must be your original work, or you must own all rights to it, and this must be declared on application.
  • Do I need to have a university degree to apply?
No. At Dissolve Into: we're interested in talent and talent alone. As long as you are old enough (18+) and submit original work to which you fully own the rights, you are eligible.
  • Do I need to live in London to join?
The programme is highly collaborative so we would expect you take part in sessions face-to-face. In rare instances, such as illness, disability or financial implications, we may arrange for remote or hybrid sessions. We are unfortunately unable to cover travel or accommodation expenses.
  • Is there an age range for applicants?
You need to be 18 years old the day before your residence begins. That's so we comply with the law. Other than that, there is no age barrier to entry. You're never too old to become a screenwriter.
  • Do I need to be a UK citizen to apply?
No, but please note that it is your responsibility to ensure you have a legal right to reside in the UK for the duration of your residency, and that receiving tuition does not contravene any visa regulations.
  • Does my work need to be in English?
Yes, this is an English-medium programme. The work can originally be written in another language but would need to be translated before submission.
  • Do I have to pay to be a resident?
No. We don't finance to be a barrier to entry.
  • Are my expenses covered?
Yes. Travel, accommodation and attendance hours are covered.
